Quotes About Failure and Success
I’m learning that failure, growth, challenges and success are all part of the same mix that ultimately lead to achievement and improvement.
The quote in today’s news/update post title is a Japanese proverb.
Below is another good quote about realizing that challenges and failures are part of the path to great success:
“I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” –Michael Jordan
So why with all these inspirational and thoughtful quotes? Well that’ll become clear as you read on.
A Failures and Setback That Was An Eye Opening Experience
So before I said I wouldn’t post this month because of projects and the business grant but there have been some changes to that news (concerning those two projects).
One being that video fell through because of my failure to get the right people involved and support needed for the project. Had I planned better and alloted myself more time to get it all together, I would have been able to execute the project. It was a huge learning experience, it being the first time I attempted a video project that required more than 30 people.
Now on the business grant, I finished up the paper and was ready to submit it, but I soon found out that I didn’t meet certain requirements for the grant so I couldn’t submit it. The opportunity excited me and I should have checked those requirements before hand. But I’m glad to have written the paper though because I got to do some cool reflective writing for my inner-self and my ambitions. I will be posting the paper next month.
Music Is The Core, Music Is The Passion
Also like I said in the last post, once I reach ten instrumentals/beats I will be looking to work with vocalists and will start writing songs. I’m improving in each production I do and I’m looking to push forward in my craft, so expanding on the production elements will be great.
Though I may have a handle on dance and music. Brining together moves which require my other skills to expand WGP will bring some hardships and obstacles, but that is alright because it’s part of the journey. Even with my strengths where I thrive; with each project and session where I look to grow and become a top player in my craft, I’ll have to be ready to face the challenge. Though I can say I will hungrily face it.
“People who are confident in business are confident because they’re comfortable with failure.” – Mark Manson
Before I close this post I would like to point out this amazing article I read by Mark Manson that was a timely read after these recent events happened. Now I don’t always agree with what Mark Manson writes in his blog, but a lot of his stuff is golden and I recommend it anyone who wants hard unfiltered truth mixed with charm and wit. This article is an awesome read and it came my way at just the right time. So much so that it felt as if he was talking directly to me; though it probably has more to do with his writing as he has a very effortless conversational and personal style to his writing. (Like the one above) Here is another quote from the article:
“Comfort in our failures allows us to act without fear, to engage without judgment, to love without conditions.” – Mark Manson.
Here is the article, it’s a quick, concise and insightful read.
Failure Creates Growth, Failure Is Part of The Path To Success
Remember the quote from the post’s title (read it on the tattoo in the picture below).
“Fall seven times, stand up eight” – Japanese Proverb
Something we can all remember when pushing past our comfort zones. We have to keep growing each day no matter the initial failures and heart aches that come our way, as it is part of what we experience as we move to improve our situation and ourself.
