Showing Something New About Your Self (What I learned)

With anything you do and show for the first time, whether it’s performing, hosting a party or even baking…you want it to go off with a good start. You might feel that your first effort won’t turn out earth shatteringly great, (it doesn’t have need to) but you want it to start on the right foot.

The first step or leap into showing a new side to yourself is something that opens a new part of your world and a new chapter in your life. I felt good about the result of this instrumental/beat and how it turned out.

The Feel It instrumental was my first ever fully produced piece of music. I learned a lot from the mix; it holds a special place in my heart. It was amazing taking this all the way through production and learning new things along the way. I’m excited to continuing growing as an artist.

Most people, who thought they knew me, thought of my dancing and people were starting to know me for my cinematography work. Only a few people knew that I produced and created music. I wanted that change so I decided to take the Feel It instrumental; one of the beats that I had worked on and release it to the world. I felt this instrumental would be a good first piece of music to take through production and show people. The instrumental got some good feedback from the people I showed in person and some online.

The Feel It Instrumental (So About The Track)

The track itself is atmospheric and influenced and inspired by electronica, synthpop & ambient style hip-hop beats. I created the Feel It instrumental with the thought of someone rapping over the verse parts and singing over the chorus. So there’s contrasting elements of hip-hop and electronica. It makes for an interesting listen with various soundscapes and sounds together in the mix.
